Kawakawa is a treasured rongoā Māori botanical traditionally used for generations in skin and body care.
In our hair-care range, Kawakawa is included for its botanical scalp-care properties, helping support a clean, calm, healthy-feeling scalp.
Kawakawa contains naturally occurring compounds such as kawakawa lactones and flavonoids, which are associated with antioxidant and soothing properties.
Why Tallow?

Cosmetic-grade tallow is a rich, nourishing ingredient that closely complements the natural lipids found in the hair and skin.
In our hair-care formulas, tallow is used to provide deep conditioning and moisture support, helping dry, rough or stressed-feeling hair feel softer, smoother and more manageable.
Tallow contains naturally occurring fatty acids, including oleic, palmitic and stearic acids, which contribute to its emollient and conditioning properties.
Combined with Kawakawa, tallow creates a nourishing formula that supports both the scalp and the hair lengths — helping relieve the dry, stripped feeling that can come from frequent washing while keeping the hair conditioned.
We use cosmetic-grade tallow and formulate it specifically for cosmetic use, rather than using food-grade tallow.
Key Ingredients

Kawakawa
A treasured New Zealand native botanical traditionally used to soothe, cleanse and care for the scalp. Kawakawa contains naturally occurring antioxidant and anti-inflammatory plant compounds that make it especially valuable for dry, sensitive or irritated-feeling scalps.

It helps calm the feel of scalp discomfort, nourish the scalp and support a healthy scalp environment, while leaving the hair feeling soft and conditioned.

Kūmarahou
A treasured NZ native botanical rich in flavonoids and phenolic compounds. Traditionally valued for its cleansing and soothing properties, it helps support a healthy, balanced scalp and healthier-looking hair.

Grass-Fed Tallow
A deeply nourishing, lipid-rich ingredient containing fatty acids and fat-soluble vitamins, tallow helps replenish and condition dry hair and scalp. Its rich emollient properties help soften dry, brittle strands, reduce moisture loss and support the scalp’s natural protective barrier.

For the scalp, tallow provides intensive nourishment and helps relieve the feel of dryness and tightness, leaving the scalp and hair feeling softer, conditioned and protected.

Jojoba Oil
Lightweight and nourishing, jojoba helps balance and moisturise the scalp while conditioning dry hair. It helps improve softness, shine and manageability without leaving hair feeling heavy.

Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5)
Helps attract and retain moisture, conditioning each strand to improve softness, shine, smoothness and manageability. Helps dry, brittle hair feel stronger, healthier and more hydrated.

Glycerin
A moisture-binding humectant that helps draw and retain hydration in the hair, leaving dry strands softer, smoother and more manageable while helping maintain a hydrated scalp.
How To Use

Shampoo
Wet hair thoroughly and apply 1–3 pumps to the scalp and hair. Massage gently into a soft lather, then rinse thoroughly. Repeat if needed.

Conditioner
After shampooing, apply generously through the hair, focusing on the lengths, ends and any dry areas. Leave for 1–3 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. For deeper conditioning, leave for up to 5 minutes.

For best results, use the shampoo and conditioner together as part of your regular hair-care routine.
